  2. How can I get involved?

  3. Our Current Income/Expense Report is listed under the Financial Section. We also accept gifts of non-perishable food items, toiletries, furniture, automobiles, and more. We do not accept clothing.

  4. Our organization takes our privacy policy seriously and takes steps to protect and ensure the safety of our supporters. We do not sell or otherwise disclose information about our volunteers or supporters outside of our immediate organization. This policy has no exceptions. We do not sell or exchange your information with any other organizations, public, private or nonprofit. For more detailed information visit our Privacy Policy page.

  5. What if God is calling me to do something in the community??

Call or email Wright Culpepper ( We may be doing something or working on developing something that will help you answer that call. People share ideas with us all the time, and when we have 2 or 3 people sharing the same idea with us, we try to get them together to talk about how we can work together.

Additionally, there are many fine ministries and organizations in the community doing wonderful work. If we are not doing what you want to do, we will connect you to someone who is.

  6. What Is Sparrows Nest?

Sparrows Nest is a clearing house for over 40 churches who wish to help those in crisis in our community -- helping 25 to 30 people daily! Most of those who get financial help from us are referred to us from local churches or organizations. For those seeking financial assistance, they must provide a bill, ID, and proof that something has happened recently (hospitalization, death, accident, etc.) that has disrupted their normal cash flow. For those seeking a bus ticket, we go to great lengths to find family, employers, or service organizations in the community that they wish to travel to before we purchase a ticket.

We also maintain a food pantry to assist with food needs.

Sparrows Nest is open from 9 until Noon Monday through Thursday and assists about 15 families each day.
